Bulletin – Death on Mist trail

Half Dome – Yosemite Musing

Bulletin Bulletin Bulletin Bulletin

On Wednesday night, 17-year-old Kao Kue of Fresno died from head injuries sustained when he slipped and fell Saturday on the Mist Trail.

In response to the recent spate of accidents at Yosemite, Director of National Park Service Jon Jarvis said: “The thing to remember is that our national parks have hazards.”  Our job is to inform the public of what they need to do to protect themselves, not fence off those hazards.”

That Fresno bee article said the young man’s death would not be counted among the total deaths this year. Any idea why not? Just curious…
