Merced River Plan – next step

Half Dome – Yosemite Musing

Remember the Merced River Plan? This is going to be a big deal . The scoping was conducted last fall. The next step is to discuss the “Outstandingly Remarkable Values.” This is a fancy term for why the river is sacred. You can attend a presentation on this in the Bay area on Monday, June 28 at the San Ramon City Hall. It’s at 2228 Camino Ramon. The time is 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Looks like an Open House will be held from 5- 6. Go <here> for details.

Unrelated thought worth quoting: “Apples peaches pumpkin pie. Who’s afraid to holler I? That’s a game I used to play. Hide and seek was it’s name. Oh ready or not here I come. Gee that used to be such fun.” – Jay And The Techniques

I’m going to try to be there. Scary stuff, we all should be enjoying Yosemite while we still can…

Ongoing Yosemite news – now we have moved from Snow to a River Flood warning because all of that snow is melting. It has flooed Pohono Bridge with some minor flooding in the campsites and they may close Northside road and it may lead to possible evacuations.
